CB RADIO DASH
THE ISSUE
This 1998 Jeep Wrangler did not have an optimal mounting spot for the addition of a CB Radio.
DESIGN PROCESS
As the existing dashboard was not designed to hold a CB radio, a new insert was needed to completely replace the lowest section of the center column. This allowed for the addition of a CB within the existing space without compromising the other features.
CREATION
DESIGN
Using 3D modeling and measurements from the car, iterations were drawn and shaped.
Technology turning creative brainwaves into reality.
ASSEMBLE
Placing the 3D-print into place, and making adjustments as needed for it all to be just right.
FINAL RESULT
The cigarette lighter was relocated and placed next to a small storage cubby to hold a charging cord.
Indicator lights were added to inform the user which switches are wired up.
A geometric insert created ventilation for the cooling fan on the CB Radio.
