LIFE KNIFE
PROBLEM
In commercial fishing, it is vital to have a knife securely attached to one’s life jacket in case of emergency. One’s chances of survival in case of incident are highly increased if one also has a strobe light. However, both of these essential pieces of equipment are too-often left behind because of the unwieldy nature of attaching multiple items to a life jacket, and the poor construction of knife sheaths that do not properly hold the knife.
DESIGN PROCESS
The creation of a highly functional, water-proof sheath that contains in it a self-charging strobe light in order to streamline and optimize life-saving gear.
